In collaboration with Chanakya, Threads is a large-scale tapestry installation that redefines textile as both medium and message. A physical expression of softness, scale, and collaboration.

Woven from 40 shades of naturally dyed organic wool, the piece blends zardosi mastery with a modern visual language. Over 150 artisans worked to stitch thousands of threads at different elevations, ranging from 4 to 7 cm, using small needlepoint and long needle chainstitch techniques. The result is a landscape of texture and tonal harmony, where the depth is seen not just in color, but in the craftsmanship itself.

Suspended above, a paper ceiling installation composed of die-cut sheets in 9 colors drifts overhead. Layered in 12 sections and varied heights. Together, the verticality of thread and the lightness of paper created an environment that felt at once grounded and lifted. A sensory field of stillness, motion, and meticulous handwork.
